Yowza Yowza Yowza…look who is back at the Little Shoppe of Herbals…CAROL!!!

Carol is back from the stone quarry where she has been spitting out stones for several months. Now that Carol is back, there will be some changes ‘a-happenin at good ol’ Terra Ken Herbal Remedies Shoppe & Folk Art Gallery.

MORE GOOD NEWS!

To let everyone who’s anyone know, Kathryn Gillett, esteemed Massage Therapist at Terra Ken, has passed several important ‘boards’ exams for her Acupuncture degree. She has a couple more tests to take then she will be certified! Next time you see Kathryn give her a big hug and congratulations.

Over the next several weeks Carol and Bill will be making some physical changes to the shoppe. Some of these changes include getting different and new local artwork from local artists. (if you know of someone who might want to sell their Folk Art then let us know), improved reflexology/massage area, an area to sell rare/used books, and last but certainly not least, a new hot tub! Ok, I’m joking about the hot tub but not a bad idea, huh?!

Talk about having fun in the sun…

Do you have sinus problems?

Is the pollen bothering you?

Do you have the same thing every year and nothing seems to work?

THEN STOP YOUR WHINING AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Every year people complain about their spring allergies and then go to the doctor or a pharmacy and get some drug that does nothing but suppress the symptoms and never gets to the root cause of the problem.

We can help you either reduce your hay fever and pollen allergies or even take this problem away permanently.

Here are some supplements from Nature’s Sunshine Products that can help:

HistaBlock:

•Provides nutrients that support the respiratory system in its battle against allergens, pollutants and toxins.
•Provides antioxidant strength to help stabilize mast cells.
•Supports the body’s efforts to control inflammation and swelling of mucous membranes.

HistaBlock supports the body in times of respiratory stress. A powerful combination of stinging nettle, quercetin, bromelain and immature orange peel (which contains synephrine), HistaBlock provides nutritional support for the respiratory system. This formula provides antioxidants and supports the body’s efforts to maintain mucous membrane health and nasal passage tissues.

ALJ:

*Helps soothe irritated tissues.
•Encourages the entire respiratory tract to gently cleanse itself.
•Assists the body in neutralizing allergens by nutritional means.

ALJ is the key product for the respiratory system. Airborne particles are everywhere. When particles enter the respiratory system via the nose or the mouth, the body turns on its cleansing mechanisms, and the immune system is put on active duty. Herbal nourishment supports a healthy respiratory system that can be challenged by inhaled irritants. ALJ combines selected herbal ingredients to nourish the immune and respiratory systems. This formula supports healthy lung function and helps support the body during seasonal changes. It also encourages the entire respiratory tract to gently cleanse itself and helps promote respiratory tissue health. It contains:

Boneset aerial parts
Fennel seeds
Fenugreek seeds
Horseradish root extract
Mullein leaves extract

Each of these herbs has been used traditionally as a dietary supplement. ALJ combines them in a balanced formula. ALJ liquid extract provides all the benefits of its powdered counterpart in an easily absorbable liquid form, preserved in a glycerin base.

Seasonal Defense:
*Helps the body defend against seasonal changes.

*Contains andrographis to help boost the immune system.

*Helps support mucous membrane health.

Seasonal changes can be quite stressful to the body. That's why it is important to support your immune system. Seasonal Defense combines andrographis with other immune-supporting herbs, including Fructus aurantia (six percent synephrine extract), thyme, oregano and eleuthero root for complete immune support.

Andrographis has been used for centuries by many cultures. It is used widely in Ayurvedic medicine and is considered a “cold property” herb in traditional Chinese approaches; it is used to rid the body of “heat” and dispel toxins. Andrographis supports the immune system by promoting both specific and non-specific immune-response functions as well as maintaining the muscles in the respiratory system. Other studies show that synephrine may be able to help maintain the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract and that thyme and eleuthero root both have beneficial properties.

Fenugreek & Thyme:

•Supports the respiratory system.
•Helps keep the mucus thin.
•Soothes irritated respiratory tissue.

Fenugreek herb contains mucilaginous compounds, which are gel-like substances known for their ability to help support tissues. It is also an herbal source of selenium, an important trace mineral that also functions as an antioxidant. Historically, thyme has been used to support respiratory health. This combination works great as a natural decongestant and helps keep the ear canals clear, too!

Sinus Support:

*Encourages proper nasal function.

*Helps maintain nasal tissues.

*Is ephedra- and stimulant-free.

This ephedra-free formula supports clear nasal passages and supplies nutrients that support proper respiratory function.

It contains burdock root, synephrine (immature orange peel), capsicum fruit, golden seal root, parsley herb, horehound herb, althea root and yerba santa herb. This combination contains natural trace amounts of magnesium, potassium, silicon and zinc plus vitamins A and C, and thiamine.

Colloidal Silver:

•Provides more powerful support to the immune system.
•Uses only the finest particle-size colloids to ensure maximum efficiency.
•Is completely non-toxic, no heavy metal contamination.

Colloidal Silver [Immune] provides 14 ppm of silver that stays suspended in purified, deionized water. Higher concentrations found in other brands (as much as 30 ppm) can separate and settle at the bottom. Moreover, prolonged use of higher concentrations may cause a gray discoloration of the skin and inner eyelid inflammation.

Colloidal Silver works as a very effective natural antibiotic, antiviral, antifungal for a wide variety of health issues, and can be used internally and externally. You can gargle with it for sore throats, use it as nasal drops for congestion and infection, and use it as eye drops for irritation and infection. Many clients swear by it for helping reduce their allergy problems through the years.

And don’t forget all of our Terra Ken products that Carol creates to promote a healthy respiratory system…
